INO’Z is located at 14004 Ranch Road 12, which is pretty in the center of Wimberley. Finding it, you need to keep a keen eye out for it’s entrance sign buried among the little knick-knack shops along this very tourist friendly stretch of road.
First and foremost, INO’Z (apparently pronounced “eye-knows”) is a place people go to drink. They serve appetizers and meals but that’s not primary line of business. So if you go on Yelp! and read reviews don’t be surprised by the comments about the slow service and food quality.
However, if you can be patient and aren’t too snobby about getting your food served on a plastic plate with plastic utensils you might just allow yourself to have a good time. First off, the view can’t be beat. The outside dinning overlooks a beautiful city park along Cypress Creek.
If you happen to go there on Thursday through Saturday evenings in the warm months, they host live music from local Hill Country bands on a small stage just above the outside dining area.
The food selection is typical grill offerings and from what I’ve sampled, you won’t disappointed. My favorite is the Chicken Fried Chicken. Yum, yum.
Now just to clarify, is INO’Z the best place to eat in Wimberley? Probably not, but since I am always getting into town off the river around sundown my choices have been limited. I hear that The Leaning Pear is really good, maybe someday I’ll get a chance to eat there, but sure do love my time on the rivers and they close up pretty early.
