Brewster’s Pizza is located at 9595 Ranch Road 12, which is about 4 miles south of Wimberley at the intersection of RR12 and FM32.
If you are in the Wimberley area and craving pizza, there only one place you should be thinking about and that’s the family owned and operated Brewster’s Pizza & Wimberley Brewing Company. When I say family, I mean that the entire family runs the place top to bottom, it’s a real family business.
Their pizza is artisan style and one of the pizzeria’s claim to fame is that their crust is freshly made and hand tossed. I’ve always believed that a great pizza starts with good bread and got to tell you, the wonderful smell coming from the kitchen gave me visions of a soft, steaming hot crust.
We ordered the supreme and sat down to wait. The restaurant has a family decor that is pretty stereotypical of pizza places everywhere.
Our pizza arrived in about 20 minutes and was really good.
Now to be honest, good is not great. Maybe I had my expectations set too high from the online reviews I read but I was expecting the best pizza I’d ever eaten. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and if I was anywhere near Wimberley and had a craving for pizza I’d make a b-line for Brewster’s Pizza.
Now I’m not a beer drinker but right next to the pizzeria is the families other business, the Wimberley Brewing Company. So if you want a fine micro-brewed beer to go with your pizza, it couldn’t be easier to get one.
Hours are Tue-Wed 4-8, Thu-Fri 4-9, Sat 12-9 and Sun 12-7.
